A unique and beautiful place! Impeccable service, friendly and smiling waiter. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from start to finish; finally, children's menus without fries, but with a varied and balanced selection – a real treat! Highly recommended!

An unusual place with a beautiful timber frame. I tried the €25 hiker's menu, which included a main course, dessert, and coffee. The meat was tender and flavorful. However, I was a little disappointed with the blueberry tart, which was more like a cake or clafoutis. It's worth noting, though, that everything is homemade. Please note: they do not accept restaurant vouchers.

Exposed beams, stone walls, a slate roof, and simple yet delicious seasonal dishes that showcase regional produce, all year round. Always a wonderful experience between the Ardèche and Haute-Loire regions, and ideal before tackling the ascent of Mont Mézenc.

28/03/2026: A lovely little restaurant with a rustic mountain atmosphere. Large, generous portions at a very reasonable price. The owner is friendly and welcoming. My dog ​​was welcome, which was much appreciated. The place is clean. Parking nearby. Very well located (church, mini-market, etc.). I will definitely be back when the weather is nicer. Thank you for a lovely time! :)
28/03/2026: My sister, my mother, and I had lunch here today. The owner was fantastic, and our little dog even got a slice of ham! The location is great in Les Estables. The portions were delicious and very generous! Good value for money. I recommend this restaurant.

La Traverse

27/02/2026: We had a wonderful evening at La Traverse. We received a very warm welcome and excellent service. We had booked in advance, which I recommend as the dining room is small. During the meal, you are quickly enveloped by a delicious aroma of cheese – it's so pleasant. We were able to try the Fin Gras du Mézenc, and it was excellent!
22/02/2026: A great place if you want a good Auvergne fondue. A warm welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
