Auberge les Myrtilles sur Le Bosc

We had a wonderful stay at the Auberge des Myrtilles. In a beautiful and peaceful setting, the inn is ideally located for hiking or cycling. The restaurant offers the opportunity to dine in and sample regional specialties. The blueberry tart is a real treat. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is very generous.

The motorcycle group gave a very warm welcome.

I need to revise my previous comment from two years ago; I recently returned and there was no wait, I was warmly welcomed and had a good coffee in the afternoon; I can now recommend this restaurant again.

An authentic experience with breathtaking views at the Col des Marroux. A warm welcome and a delicious à la carte meal. A must-visit in the region. Thank you to the owners for making such an experience possible.

Basic room with bathroom and shared terrace with good views. Good location for exploring the area, peace and quiet in the middle of the forest to rest. Simple but good food. Very friendly staff, easy to understand us without having a clue about French. Thank you.

It is with mixed feelings that I write this review. A true institution that unfortunately seems to be fading away. We have been coming here for over 30 years, whether as cyclists, mushroom pickers, or simply to enjoy the region. Today, in the middle of the season, the restaurant is closed on Mondays. The swimming pool is no longer operational, and the building is also showing signs of age, which is a shame, especially when you come with children. The restaurant is still decent, but the warm and friendly atmosphere of yesteryear is gone. No more garbure (a hearty vegetable and meat stew) or the specialties that made the inn so charming in the good old days. The bar and restaurant are also closed during the day, except for hotel guests. We saw many people turn around when they saw the sign indicating that it was closed. On the positive side, we had made a mistake with our reservation, and the owners did everything they could to find us two rooms at the last minute. We sincerely thank them for that. This review is not a negative critique, but rather the testimony of a loyal customer who would like to see the return of the warm and lively inn he knew for so many years.
