Auberge Saint Maclou sur Rouen

Arriving without a reservation as a group of six (four adults, two children, and one dog 🐕), we were very kindly seated on the terrace. The service was exceptionally friendly, pleasant, and attentive throughout the meal. The menu offers limited choices, but this is easily understood given the quality of the ingredients, the local sourcing, and the homemade quality. This is ultimately a real plus. We also appreciated the team's responsiveness to our comments, which were heard and addressed quickly and professionally. One small suggestion for future improvement: offering one or more children's menus would be a real bonus for families. Overall, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed a delicious meal. I was lucky enough to have dinner for my birthday at this superb restaurant, and it was so delicious and the staff so welcoming that I returned today, just two days later, to once again enjoy the flavors and wine pairings of the restaurant. The owner is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and a fantastic cook! Well done to everyone, and I look forward to another wonderful meal at your establishment.

We had a delicious meal here. According to the menu, we could choose from various free extras, but we were not asked. Furthermore, the service was fine. At 8:15 PM, we had one of the last tables.

Excellent experience. French gastronomy with a 2026 twist. The fundamentals of cuisine, using fresh, local, seasonal produce, with a highly creative touch that makes the flavors explode. In short, you can tell that the chefs here love to surprise and delight you. The offerings are varied, the menu changes with each season, and the wine selections are bold. All this for a very reasonable price considering the quality. I discovered the spring menu yesterday, and I'm already eager to come back and try what I haven't yet (special mention for the veal flank steak with vegetables—absolutely amazing!)!!! The service is warm, efficient, and unpretentious. You won't be disappointed.

The three of us came and ordered completely different dishes, which we all thoroughly enjoyed. The food is homemade. The setting is pleasant, and the owners are kind and discreet. The dishes are refined and beautifully presented. The owner is very knowledgeable about the wines on the menu and offers excellent advice on wine pairings. A great place to eat in Rouen with very reasonable prices. We will definitely be back.
