The recession is in one building, the rooms in another; you have to walk a bit. An interesting experience. In the morning (around 8), people start arriving and it gets quite noisy.

We went to the restaurant for snacks and coffee. Margherita pizza was tasty. Cafe Creme was good, but slightly less hot. Cappuccino with creme was tastier and smooth. We enjoyed the meal.

We were just happy to get something to eat at 7 pm, as most restaurants were closing by then. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was very cozy. Drinks were expensive, but what do you expect from one of the most popular places in France? Unfortunately, we had to wait longer for our food than the other tables. Therefore, only 4 stars.

I had mussels and an omelet at a restaurant. The omelet at Mont Saint-Michel is famous, but it's rather bland. The potatoes that came with the mussels were also tasteless, so I ended up adding a lot of salt and ketchup.

In this prime example of mass tourism, this establishment is remarkably kind: our son had dropped his ice cream cone... As soon as he returned, they offered to remake it for free! That was lovely! 😉

The hotel is very well located, however, it's very poorly soundproofed! The breakfast was very limited, with no choice 😕. The price is not commensurate with the hotel's services.

Restaurant de l'hotel Croix Blanche

02/07/2026: I felt like I stepped into a movie when I stayed at this hotel. I was first greated by the friendly and helpful staff at the bar on the bottom floor right off the main strip of Mount St. Michel. The atmosphere of the bar looked like something out of the Lord of the Rings and I enjoyed local drinks like French wine and local Mount St. Michel beer which is very good. A beautiful spiral wood staircase took us up to our room several floors up. The view from the room window is incredible and reminded me of a Harry Potter backdrop. The room has been modernized with nice and functional bathrooms. The room's decore and ambiance was a nice touch and well fitting. The later evening hours at Mount St. Michel was quiet and peaceful, which is enjoyed by those staying on the island. Staff as the hotel was excellent and made the stay even more pleasurable. A tasty breakfast is also included. This hotel deserves top marks.
13/06/2026: We stayed in a double room connected to another in the attic (with 3 single beds). Good rooms, good shower. Easy access right upon arrival on the island.

28/08/2026: We were greeted very warmly in the morning and received everything we wanted. The employee is currently doing everything alone, which is very impressive. We couldn't comment on the panini quality that others have mentioned. And it's understandable that after hours of high demand, some products might run out around 4 or 5 pm. As I said, friendly staff, delicious croissants.
11/08/2026: August 11, 2026 A simple, quiet coffee break on the main street. The muffin was decent, nothing exceptional, but it did the job. A nice little stop, just what you need for a quick break.
