A wonderful discovery during our vacation We discovered the Auberge Sainte Catherine in Foussais-Payré during our vacation and had a fantastic time. The welcome was truly warm and friendly, with a helpful and attentive staff. The setting is lovely, with the typical atmosphere of a traditional inn, which immediately creates a relaxed and pleasant ambiance. As for the food, we were very pleasantly surprised. The dishes were of very high quality, beautifully presented, and above all, delicious, with ingredients that seemed carefully selected. You can tell that the cooking is done with passion and a desire to offer something of quality without going overboard. Another excellent point: the value for money. For around €35 ​​per person, we had a very good meal, which seems perfectly reasonable considering the quality offered. We therefore recommend this place without hesitation if you are passing through the Foussais-Payré area. This is exactly the kind of restaurant we love to discover on vacation: simple, warm, friendly, and with excellent food. We'll gladly return if we're ever back in the area! 😊 ⭐ A truly wonderful place to discover!

A wonderful experience. The food was delicious (vegetable curry and a generous Caesar salad, tiramisu sundae, and French toast). We were warmly welcomed with our dog, who was very discreet under the piano. Thank you.

This is our second time at Auberge Sainte Catherine, and frankly, it's by far the best restaurant we've been to in the area. The food is homemade, the ingredients are fresh and flavorful, and the portions are perfect. The service is also excellent, with smiling and pleasant waitresses. It's truly a wonderful discovery. Lovely restaurant set in a pretty village that we visited while nearby in June. The people who worked there were warm and welcoming and we were able to bring our two dogs in with us. The local beef dish was absolutely delicious, will definitely return if in the area 🤗

It was our first time here and we weren't disappointed. The inn's historic setting in this beautiful village, the warm welcome and professionalism of the owners, and the quality of the food were all exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, from the préfou appetizers to the burgers and octopus à l'américaine for the main courses, and the rum baba and chocolate mousse for dessert. Everything is homemade and reasonably priced. I highly recommend it!
