06/09/2026: A lovely little restaurant with a warm welcome from both the owner and the chef. The decor remains true to the style of his small-town restaurants, adding to the charm of the place and in no way detracting from the quality of the service and the food. The menu offers something for everyone, and its (limited) selection hints at the quality. We sampled the foie gras, razor clams, cuttlefish stew, steak, and a pavlova. Everything was delicious. We also appreciated the fact that the owner was free to choose the wine. We had a wonderful time.

05/09/2026: On September 5th, my brother and I went to dinner at the Menhir restaurant in Avrillé. As usual, the cuisine is refined, but tonight our taste buds were truly delighted by Elvire's cooking. The stuffed razor clams were a stunning starter, and her lamb was absolutely divine. Don't hesitate to visit the Menhir restaurant to experience a truly exceptional culinary adventure. A huge thank you to Elvire and Jean-Pascal, the brothers.

29/07/2026: 10/10, hands down! We were looking for a restaurant for a birthday dinner. We made many unsuccessful attempts to book a table that afternoon. This was the only restaurant that called us back after leaving a voicemail, and what a stroke of luck! A wonderful discovery, a variety of dishes, each one as delicious as the last, and the cherry on top: a candle for dessert! Thank you again, and bon appétit to the next food lovers who dine at this restaurant!

It was an excellent experience; from the appetizer to the dessert, the dishes were of high quality, made with fresh ingredients. The servers were very friendly, efficient, and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant!

27/08/2026: A must-visit during our stays in Les Sables-d’Olonne! We come to Bistrot Sablais every year during our stay in Les Sables-d’Olonne, and it’s always a pleasure to return. It’s become a real tradition for us! The welcome is warm and friendly. The place is very pleasant, modern, and beautifully decorated, making for a truly enjoyable experience. A special mention goes to the manager, who is incredibly friendly, attentive, and business-minded. Her welcome and helpfulness are particularly appreciated. An address we happily recommend and where we will return, as we do every year!

26/08/2026: A fantastic find! Unbeatable value for money, the exterior is lovely, and the staff are incredibly attentive. The food is delicious, and the cocktails are original. The children's menu is €14, but it's well worth it! The dishes are just as elaborate as the adult menu!

The restaurant manages the impressive feat of offering a regularly changing menu, always featuring seasonal produce, and often even vegetables from its own garden. Both the appetizers and main courses combine consistently interesting, well-balanced, and perfectly proportioned flavors. The service is also always pleasant and attentive. In short, don't hesitate: head straight to Les Genets!

The lobster in aspic was a feast for both the eyes and the palate! All the dishes delighted us, and the wine pairing was a resounding success! 25/07/2026: Parking was very difficult to find, so allow plenty of time to avoid being late. Once you're seated, it's pure bliss. The staff is very friendly, and the burgers are excellent and generous. The price is very reasonable. A great experience; I highly recommend it.

21/08/2026: We come to Fatra for dinner every time we're near Les Sables d'Olonne, and as usual, we have nothing to complain about and will gladly return. Special mention for the sweetbreads, absolutely divine!

04/09/2026: A small but excellent menu, very good service, and a simple yet pleasant atmosphere. The staff were very helpful. My wife got a grain of sand in her eye just before we left for dinner. One of the servers got some hydrogen peroxide and put a drop in her eye. Afterwards, he gave us the phone number and address of an ambulance. We highly recommend this restaurant.
