Every time I'm in Alsace, I make a point of going to this place. Warm service, quality, great atmosphere, and fantastic food. My favorite treat: "Kidneys in Riesling sauce." Bravo!

When you enter, you're immediately immersed in the authentic winstub atmosphere. Once seated by the fireplace, the staff's welcome is incredible; you instantly feel at ease, like family or friends, but without being overly familiar, remaining respectful of the customer. This alone makes you want to return! The food is very good. The tarte flambée as a starter was excellent, though the pastry could have used a little more salt for my personal taste (I love salt!). Then came the ham hock with Munster cheese and sautéed potatoes, very good; the cordon bleu with Munster cheese was also very good; and the tender sirloin steak with a cognac-glazed pepper sauce was excellent. A word of caution for those who don't like strong flavors: the side dishes were very good, including salted turnips, small mashed potatoes, and small vegetables in a ratatouille style. The portions are very generous, and even as someone with a hearty appetite, it filled me up nicely. To finish, the Alsatian Irish and the "3 Roses" wine were both delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant and will return with great pleasure.

Due to a booking error in the area, we were saved by Les 3 Roses and its three charming ladies serving us today. A restaurant with a fantastic team! (It was a last-minute booking, I should mention!) The welcome was warm, friendly, and welcoming. Excellent value for money 👍👍👍👍 The Alsatian setting is magnificent with beautiful decor, and it's very quiet, which is wonderful. The dishes are excellent, generous portions with amazing sauces. We had the frog legs and veal escalopes, followed by Grand Marnier crème brûlée for dessert...😋😋 We saw the other dishes on the menu go by, and I can tell you they were always just as generous. A true Master Restaurateur, with a lovely original touch: the rose-shaped sugar that accompanies the coffees—the ultimate touch 🎉. Don't change a thing, we'll be back with great pleasure (not even worried about the 65 km distance). The table of four ladies (who fled the mussels) Happy Christmas to the whole team!

A very good experience. We had tarte flambée as a starter, then lasagna for my partner and me. We've been twice already and each time everything has been impeccable. The dishes were very good, the service pleasant, and everything went perfectly. We will gladly return.

Restaurant Kirmann

30/01/2026: Kirman restaurant, located in Epfig, is first and foremost a place that captivates with its absolutely remarkable setting. The space is vast, very open, warm, and meticulously maintained, with a huge skylight that floods the room with impressive natural light. One can easily imagine that in broad daylight, the place must be simply spectacular. The overall effect is unique, welcoming, and spotlessly clean: a real favorite in terms of ambiance and decor. As for the food, the experience was more mixed. We started with a gratinéed tarte flambée accompanied by an aperitif. The aperitif was pleasant, and the tarte flambée was decent, but nothing extraordinary: we've clearly had better elsewhere. For our main course, the beef tartare was very flavorful, but extremely spicy. As someone who enjoys tartare, I found it a shame that the excess of spices overpowered the meat, which deserved to be showcased more. We also ordered the sauerkraut with five meats. Unfortunately, it was difficult to clearly identify the five meats, as some seemed identical. The sauerkraut, for its part, tasted like it had been reheated several times and was very soggy, making the dish rather heavy and disappointing. This is all the more regrettable as we come to Alsace several times a year to discover and select restaurants for our clients, and we were expecting a more authentic and freshly prepared sauerkraut. The desserts, thankfully, provided a more positive note: The soaked plum ice cream was very good. The crème brûlée, properly caramelized, was pleasant. The Dame Blanche, classic but effective, remains a safe bet with vanilla ice cream, chocolate, and whipped cream. In summary, the Kirman restaurant is an exceptional place thanks to its unique and extremely welcoming setting. People clearly come for the atmosphere, the space, and the visual comfort it offers. However, the food itself needs improvement. The dishes sometimes lack precision, are overly spicy, poorly executed, or taste reheated. For a restaurant with such a remarkable setting, one would expect more refined cuisine, especially with the great Alsatian classics, which should be impeccable. A shorter menu, focused on perfectly executed, typical Alsatian dishes, would undoubtedly elevate the dining experience considerably and live up to the magnificent setting. For me, the experience left mixed feelings: a splendid decor, but cuisine that fell short of expectations. A beautiful establishment with great potential, which would benefit from improvement to become a must-try.
30/12/2025: Nice food, good atmosphere and pretty setting...except for the urinals which are disgustingly tasteless.
