What a gem this little restaurant is! It had the courage to open on a Cévennes evening! The food smells homemade, and it's so good to eat well for a very reasonable price 🤩. I highly recommend this little place. Everything was perfect 👍🏻

Whether it's for a leisurely lunch, an evening out, or simply a midday break before heading back to work, the service is always impeccable and attentive. The cuisine is excellent: simple ingredients, sometimes with a local touch, enhanced with delicacy and great taste. A place we always return to with pleasure and leave with a full stomach!

Excellent restaurant, we thoroughly enjoyed everything from the appetizer to the dessert 😊. The staff were friendly and helpful. On the recommendation of the very pleasant waitress, we decided to try the 12-hour slow-cooked lamb shoulder. The meat was simply succulent, incredibly tender, and the sauce was wonderful. We don't have any photos of the dish because, I confess, we had already started eating when we realized we'd forgotten to take pictures 😉. Two days later, we returned to try new dishes. This time, we ordered two set menus, sampling the two appetizers offered: burrata and goat cheese with eggplant. Both appetizers were very good. Then we tried the prawns and the flank steak, which was absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked and the meat was excellent quality and very tender. To finish, even though we were already quite full, we enjoyed the wonderful chocolate cake. In short, we had a wonderful meal and highly recommend this restaurant. Even though the menu doesn't offer a huge selection, you'll leave more than satisfied because everything is excellent, and the friendly atmosphere and the smiles of the servers are much appreciated 😊. If you're looking for a good restaurant in Nîmes near the Arena with quality ingredients, don't look any further and come to this restaurant; you won't be disappointed 😊. We'll definitely be back 😊.

A fantastic find in Nîmes! We had a wonderful time at L’Avant-Garde. The interior is lovely and the terrace is truly delightful, perfect for enjoying a delicious meal in a pleasant setting. The dishes were very tasty, beautifully presented, and the prices were quite reasonable. But above all, a special mention goes to the waiter, who was incredibly kind, smiling, and attentive. A welcome like that makes all the difference! A truly excellent restaurant that I highly recommend. We will definitely be back! 👌
