The set menu was generous and delicious. Special mention goes to the butternut squash soup, which was divine. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming.

I decided to have dinner here while solo travelling through Nîme. It was a pleasant atmosphere sitting outside at one of the high tables. For entree I tried brandade de morue. For the main course, I had the “suggestion” of the day: pork tenderloin skewer in a peppers sauce, with zucchini and semolina. Food is delicious and good value. Service was super friendly. I couldn’t speak French and the waiter couldn’t speak English, but somehow we communicated with no problem.

We found it by chance and it was a great find. A very welcoming place where, even though we were foreigners, they made an effort to speak our language. The food and the presentation of the dishes were very good, as was the value for money. Overall, a pleasant atmosphere.

03/04/2026: Friendly welcome, good food, quiet and welcoming place.
23/03/2026: We came to eat on a Sunday evening (election night) on the street where the town hall is located... The atmosphere was certainly lively! 😂 We were in Nîmes for a funeral and chose Le Ménestrel after searching for good restaurants in Nîmes. Well, it wasn't just good, no! It was excellent in every way! 👍 Not to mention the kindness of the owners. 😀 We'll definitely be back! 😉👌
