A place I have always liked It is a restaurant that we always look forward to going to when we visit my grandmother in Paris. We look forward to seeing the waiters again, who have always been the same, and have always served me, my brother and my grandmother. When my grandmother suggests that we go to “The Old Sushi”, we drop everything we are doing and rush to the door and start loading up with clothes and boots and warm socks, because it is always in the fall or winter that we eat over there. When we cross the street and start to see their red chairs, even though it is cold outside, we already feel the warmth and smell the sushi, even though all we can smell is the cars. The food always tastes good and comes to the table quickly. Their coleslaw is freshly made every day, and the miso soup is not oversalted. I usually order 6 small maki avocats, which are served in a little boat. Then I get 3 nigiri with salmon, and the fish smells fresh. Sometimes I get a Japanese lemonade with lychee flavor. For dessert I often choose a green tea ice cream, which tastes a bit dusty. In many ways Ayko Sushi reminds me of other sushi restaurants in Paris and many of them are probably of even better quality, but this sushi restaurant will always remain something special to me.

I really like this restaurant because I live nearby. I made a reservation by phone for dinner for my birthday. I asked beforehand if it was possible to bring a cake to eat, etc. When I arrived at the restaurant, when it was time for dessert, they kindly brought me the wrapped cake and subtly guided me to the bill. A little disappointed...

Very good value for money: the maki and California rolls are delicious. Special mention for the sashimi, which is very good and generously portioned. The owners are very pleasant. I recommend it!
