On a not-too-cold Saturday afternoon in February, I visited the Japanese restaurant Azabu in Paris and was lucky enough to get a seat at the counter, where the chef prepared the dishes right in front of us. The ingredients looked incredibly fresh and were skillfully transformed into beautiful dishes before our eyes. I tried the fish and vegetables, along with a type of sake recommended by the host. It was a truly wonderful experience — the staff were so welcoming, the space was small, cozy, and very clean. Although it’s not inexpensive, it is absolutely worth the price!

An excellent Japanese restaurant in the 6th arrondissement that transported us to Japan for the duration of a meal.
The journey begins the moment we step inside, where we are greeted by the manager. The decor and tableware immediately immerse us in Japan.
The cuisine completes the experience: eggplant with miso, chawanmushi, shiitake mushrooms, sashimi, seaweed salad, miso soup, Mediterranean bluefin tuna tekkadon (a favorite!), Wagyu beef, and desserts with black sesame or matcha.
A true delight, and we will gladly return.

The service and the ambience was really nice, welcoming and cozy. The food was not really tasty (we’ve chosen agneau, bœuf and foie gras) so for the price you pay in the end is disappointing.

A very good experience at Azabu, impeccable service, although a little slow at times. The amuse-bouches were excellent, especially the chawanmusi, which was very light and delicate. The starters were a revelation: the eggplant with miso, perfectly melting and delicate, and a delicious pan-fried medley of seasonal mushrooms. The main courses were flawless, perfectly cooked and made with high-quality ingredients. The only disappointment was that the wasabi served with the tuna was actually horseradish in such an otherwise impeccable establishment. The desserts were rather ordinary, but everything else was very good. We highly recommend it. As a bonus, the interior is beautiful and the tableware is delicate glazed ceramic.

we had a 4-hour long girls dinner here at the big table (thanks for letting us staying long..!), and the food was liked by every of us. we all had set menu, big portion from the starter to dessert. miso tuna and lamb were well cooked and fairly fresh! dessert is a bonus. authentic Japanese cuisine in Paris.
