Bacchus Plaza sur Bourgoin-Jallieu

I'm giving it 5 stars for the memories and the wonderful evenings spent with friends, but I fear the golden age of Bacchus is over. Since the closure of the 6' and the other lively bar in Bourgoin, a new clientele has appeared: 'the kids'. These newcomers, partly responsible for the closure of the other places, take over the dance floor by remaining motionless, forming circles where no one dances. At the slightest unintentional contact, you're met with dirty looks or disgust from little girls who think they're princesses. Not to mention the groups of 'old men' looking for trouble in the smoking area, congratulating themselves with things like, 'Tonight, I feel like fighting, the first one who makes a move, I'll take him down'. As a regular for years, I've never experienced the slightest problem or fight here. Today, the atmosphere has changed and I don't give it two months before it ends in a general brawl.

A place where you can have a good time

My second visit. The first was on the rooftop in the summer. And now the lower hall. Lots of people and a great atmosphere. The sound is good too. We had a great end-of-year party with colleagues. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Perfect for a relaxing time with friends!

I went to Bacchus Plaza for an evening with friends and was truly captivated. The venue has a dual atmosphere: first, a festive restaurant with creative cuisine based on fresh, local produce, and second, a very dynamic rooftop club. The location in Bourgoin-Jallieu (7 Rue Georges Charpak) is easy to access and parking is convenient. At the restaurant, I appreciated the warm welcome, the fast service, and a well-thought-out menu: tapas to share, good cocktails, and well-prepared dishes. The atmosphere is elegant without being stuffy. Then, the climb to the rooftop was a highlight: a panoramic terrace, subdued lighting, and a DJ set in the background, perfect for extending the evening. The staff was attentive, and the setting was very clean and modern. They managed the evening professionally—it was easy to order at the bar, quick to find a table, and the atmosphere was lively without becoming chaotic. The full evening package (dinner + drinks + club) offers good value for money. In summary: Bacchus Plaza is an excellent place for a successful evening in Bourgoin-Jallieu: quality cuisine, professional service, festive atmosphere and stylish location. I highly recommend it for a dinner with friends, a special event or just to enjoy a different setting.

Super cool evening in a great setting but it was the shot bar with the superb Maelys that turned our evening into an incredible moment! ❤️
