No photography was allowed during the show, so I concentrated on watching. There are many Lautrec posters on the inside, and the interior is based on red, giving it a nice atmosphere. There is no reservation system for seats, but it seems that the staff will look at your appearance on the spot and guide you to your seat. Since I went in casual clothes, I thought it would be no use if I ended up in a strange seat, but I was glad that I was shown to a seat where I could easily see the whole stage. I went alone, so I shared a table with Ray, a young Chinese man studying at a university in Los Angeles. There weren't many Asian people, so I think people should keep Asian people together, but it was fun to talk about a lot of things before the show started. When I was in France this summer, I wanted to go there during the last week, but I couldn't get a reservation, so I'm glad I was able to go this time.

Of course, his popularity increased with the dance ""Can-Can"" in 1830, causing at the same time admiration and awe but also terrible social outcry and discrimination. However, this was not a problem for the most popular patrons of the Moulin Rouge, among whom were Renoir, Picasso and Toulouse Lautrec, who even painted a series of famous Moulin Rouge scenes. Nowadays a visit to the Moulin Rouge is absolutely necessary but very expensive as it costs €120 to enter with a drink. You will see many tourists posing in front of its iconic red mill throughout the day.

We booked too late to be able to have dinner... so, champagne evening and a place on the side which did not allow us to have an overall view. We nevertheless spent an excellent evening, being able only to admire the professionalism of the troupe and the magnificence of the costumes, in scenes which are renewed at a dazzling pace, all justifying a high price. Too bad the lyrics of some songs are a little too kitsch. The circus interludes are of an excellent level. A sight to see, if you can break the bank.

Entry was OK, arrived 30 minutes ahead of time. We had dinner included, which was nothing impressive. Show itself was colorful, at times turning into a circus. However, compared to the big stages such as Vegas, New York and others there was nothing impressive. That being said its a classic and worth seeing.

The Moulin Rouge is the icon of the Pigalle district of Paris, the red light district. And at the same time it smells of times gone by. From the outside, with its red lights and rotating mill blades, it is perfect for taking characteristic photos. If you visit Paris it should be seen, perhaps coming down from Montmartre to reach the metro stop.
