Balnea sur Genos

This is the second time my partner and I have visited, and we really like it. It's clean and there's a variety of pools. The only downside is that it gets very crowded on peak dates.

As for the cleanliness of the place, let's not even talk about the rest.

Since its opening, the quality of service has steadily declined, undoubtedly for the sake of profitability… unfortunately, peace and relaxation have become nothing more than marketing ploys to entice people to come in. Regardless of the time of day or season, the pools are increasingly cold, and no one respects the desired tranquility… it feels like being in a hammam bar, or at the municipal swimming pool in the middle of summer, even in the adults-only section, it's so noisy. Many reviews have already pointed this out: it's a municipal pool priced like a spa. We went back to swim in the "Olympian pool," but it's so hot that swimming laps is suffocating… It's nothing more than yet another "attraction" where children jump in at the edge of the lane, not a proper sports pool… at €6 for a 2-hour entry, nothing justifies the price for three accessible warm lanes… only the cleanliness of the changing rooms and lockers is worth mentioning.

Hello, What a magnificent region! 🌿 Nestled between mountains and a lake, it's the perfect place to take a break and recharge with family or friends. I highly recommend a getaway to Balnéa. There, you'll discover relaxation areas inspired by traditions from around the world: Inca, Mayan, Native American, Roman baths, and many more. A true sensory journey, perfect for letting go, that you can happily share with family, friends… or even alone for some time just for yourself. An on-site restaurant allows you to extend your culinary escape, and the site is located just minutes from the ski slopes, with a lake nearby to complete this soothing setting. A perfect place to combine relaxation, nature, and conviviality, and leave with a light heart and a warm spirit.

It's very crowded, and the lovely space with pleasant hot water is only accessible to those 12 years and older. Therefore, I only recommend it for people aged 12 and over.

A wonderful bathing and spa experience. VIP treatment was provided, with excellent explanations. No need for locker keys. Lifeguards were present throughout the facility. Even when crowded, it remained quite clean. The acupuncture treatments were very interesting and unusual; I enjoyed them. The location is pleasant, but don't expect complete tranquility during peak season. The weather was beautiful, making it very enjoyable to be in an outdoor bath!

Overall, I'm satisfied. There are several baths that restrict access for young children, which is a big plus. Outside of peak hours, it's very relaxing. My only complaint: there are very few very hot baths (only one at 36 degrees Celsius) and no outlet for a hairdryer at the end (the hairdryers available blow cold air, so they're not very effective).

Very large, the outdoor pools are really nice

The massage was very good. The masseuse was attentive. However, the massage room was sweltering, as was the changing room below. Regarding the swimming area, we were told the water temperature was 41°C, but it was actually 35 or 36°C. A shame, as we are regular visitors.

A great family experience. Not too crowded on a Tuesday morning, even during school holidays. Children under 12 don't have access to all the pools, but there's plenty to keep them entertained. Couples without children will enjoy the Roman and Japanese baths, which are less crowded and very peaceful, especially for those under 12. The showers in the changing rooms do have low water pressure, though.
