Fantastic welcome. The atmosphere is very pleasant and friendly. The prices are reasonable and the themed evenings are varied and super fun. Thanks to the team, especially Nico, Laura, and Annabelle for the truly excellent food.

10/03/2026: A delightful surprise! The Mercure Hotel recommended this restaurant to me during a business trip. The Bistrot Basque in Caen is well worth a visit: generous portions, flavorful ingredients, beautifully presented. My fellow diners seemed to be enjoying themselves just as much. The atmosphere is warm and inviting without being noisy. The wine list features several wines from the Southwest (the Madiran lives up to expectations). Special mention goes to the servers, and especially to the young woman who looked after my table—discreet, smiling, and efficient.
08/03/2026: I highly recommend this establishment for both its cuisine and its atmosphere. A special mention for Matiss's professionalism!
