Bar du Dinandier sur Villedieu-Les-Poeles

This summer we ate there regularly (on Tuesdays throughout the summer), with various friends, who, like us, were delighted by the menus, the excellent food, and the kindness and hospitality of the couple who own the restaurant. Yesterday was my birthday, and we went back for a romantic dinner. The owner wasn't there, but to my surprise, a little note was waiting for me: "Sorry I couldn't be there this evening, but I wish you a happy birthday." So kind! And of course, I received the small cake with the candle brought by the chef and the waiter. We had a wonderful time, and our taste buds, as usual, were delighted. I should add that this new waiter is just like the restaurateurs: very friendly and smiling. We highly recommend this excellent restaurant!

Booking without knowing it was open over the weekend was such a wonderful discovery! It's not very big, about 25 seats I'd say, but the cuisine is refined with beautiful combinations, superb presentation, and a friendly waiter—all at a very reasonable price. It's a real treat. You can see the owner, who is also the chef, is passionate about his work, and it shows. Thank you for a lovely evening at your restaurant.

A tastefully decorated little restaurant with photographs of the town of Villedieu from around 1900. Very attentive service, which also accommodated our special requests (vegetarian). Very tasty menus at a good price-performance ratio; overall highly recommended, we will gladly return.

The food was very good, the owner was alone so there was a bit of a wait, but he was very friendly.

A very pleasant surprise. We were warned about the risk of contamination (market day). Excellent value for money. Dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. A small, very friendly establishment. A very well-organized host. Highly recommended, and we will return on our next trips to the Manche region.

A small, family-run restaurant where everything is homemade (right down to the ice cream) and truly excellent. The kind of place you wish you could find everywhere, with reasonable prices to boot. The chef's wife, who also serves, is super friendly, energetic, and very attentive. Well done and thank you!

On our way to Brittany, we stopped in Villedieu-les-Poêles for lunch. Although it was a bit late (2 pm), we received a very warm welcome from the owner and were comfortably seated in the terrace, which was full. The food was excellent; as a big fan of tartare, this one was truly delicious, not to mention the homemade fries! We also took the opportunity to visit the town center and, right next to the restaurant, there was a lovely copper shop...where we did some shopping! I highly recommend this restaurant. A little disappointing compared to what we expected. The food was simpler than we imagined.
