Very warm welcome, simple and excellent cuisine, regional specialties!!! The boss at the service is very professional, we are delighted with the service!!!
Thanks to Google Maps found this excellent local Pays Basque country restaurant (i.e. not fancy inside) for lunch on a winter sunny day - hence sat inside but big outside terrace is evidence of being very busy in summer.
Food was simply incredible for the price (two course menu 25 euros three courses 30). Style is Basque cooking also some Spanish items in small but interesting set of choices.
See photos of dishes. For starters my Chipirons (squid in a great sauce) were a taste sensation with the squid also cooked to perfection. My wife's goats cheese salad was delicious and for all our dishes the portions were very generous indeed.
For main courses my sea bass "a l' espagnol" (in Spanish style) was again packed with flavour (including plenty of garlic!) and cooked once again to perfection. My wife's pig's cheeks were cooked perfectly and tasty with both mains served with an excellent basque style rice side.
Nice draught lager accompanied the meal (wine at lunch would have been a bit much!).
Cannot recommend this restaurant enough if you are in the area but I can imagine it would be essential to book in the summer.
02/04/2024: My favorite place to eat during the lunch break, the service is fast and the cuisine refined, all for a modest price. Local products, great setting, lovely staff. I highly recommend.

Go there with your eyes closed, you will not be disappointed.
