Excellent food. Fast and fresh service. I've been a regular at this establishment for over 20 years. It's run by a brother and sister. The sister works in the dining room and behind the bar. The brother is in the kitchen. Great atmosphere, excellent value for money, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Restaurant Gautard

07/08/2026: We spent two nights at Le Gautard on a half-board basis. A very pleasant stay. Away from the hustle and bustle of the larger establishments on the plateau, this house is smaller (3 bedrooms), which is a welcome change. Absolute peace and quiet, a very warm welcome. Lovely conversation with the owner. Very generous meals and breakfasts, perfect for hiking. Thank you again for the hospitality.
26/07/2026: Perfect welcome. Enthusiastic, smiling, and efficient waitress and owner. Huge portions of truly homemade food. Magnificent setting on the Glières plateau.
