Restaurant Gautard sur Thorens-Glieres

We spent two nights at Le Gautard on a half-board basis. A very pleasant stay. Away from the hustle and bustle of the larger establishments on the plateau, this house is smaller (3 bedrooms), which is a welcome change. Absolute peace and quiet, a very warm welcome. Lovely conversation with the owner. Very generous meals and breakfasts, perfect for hiking. Thank you again for the hospitality.

A superb and wonderful place! A very accessible family chalet. Very clean and a warm atmosphere. No waiting between courses and no rush either... just right, and it has to be said, it's much appreciated! The cuisine is truly excellent, at least the kind of cuisine you expect from a GOOD restaurant. So delighted to have spent time on the terrace. Generous menus, 5-star service. Delicious home-style cooking, the potato gratin with porcini mushrooms was exceptional, as were the desserts and the starter! We were won over. Thank you for this wonderful experience in every sense of the word!

Excellent place to stay, the rooms are completely renovated and very comfortable, clean, and quiet. Extremely friendly welcome. Highly recommended.
