Bartavelle es, desde el exterior, un local sencillo en una calle aún más sencilla en el centro del casco antiguo de Argelès. No te dejes engañar: ¡es MARAVILLOSO! Si quieres un menú con mucha elección, o artículos estándar, no es para ti. Si quieres depositar tu confianza en un chef que sea imaginativo, que te lleve en un viaje culinario, entonces es el lugar para ti. Tuvimos una comida maravillosa: un plato de langosta que fue extraordinario, seguido de un delicado plato de pescado (calle Pierre) y un inteligente plato de cerdo cocinado lentamente. Seguimos el consejo de nuestro anfitrión sobre un vino blanco que resultó ser diferente a cualquier cosa que habíamos probado antes. Todos los productos son de origen local.

Be sure to check out the beautiful modern art on the first floor. In conclusion: The chef and hostess are an incredible team and together create an amazing evening with great tastes. My partner booked Restaurant La Bartavelle as a surprise for my birthday. This place is an absolute gem, the food was impeccable. Stephanie was very attentive, taking the time to explain the dishes and answer any questions we had despite having a full restaurant. The upstairs of the restaurant also had a beautiful gallery with bespoke pieces for your perusal between courses. We both feel very grateful to have been able to experience this restaurant and would highly recommend.
