15/04/2026: We ate there with our two children on a Monday at lunchtime. We ordered the set menu and everything was very good while remaining reasonably priced.

The meal I was served was truly excellent, from the service and presentation to the taste (because I must admit, everything was delicious). The prices might make you think twice before going, but believe me, it's worth the trip because they genuinely care about their customers. A big thank you to the father-son team!

19/04/2026: We had dinner at this restaurant as a family (2 adults, 2 children). Excellent experience. The staff was very understanding. My wife is pregnant, so the fish needed to be cooked very well, and it was. Since she doesn't like mussels at all, they kindly offered her cuttlefish instead. The children had fish and chips, which they loved. The portions were very generous and delicious. For me, everything was excellent and perfectly cooked. The homemade aioli sauce was exquisite. And then, the icing on the cake: the hazelnut coffee was delicious. To top it all off, the staff were smiling, friendly, and helpful. We were just passing through Argelès, but we will definitely be back as soon as we're on holiday in the area again.

14/03/2026: La Bartavelle is a culinary and human encounter. A symbiosis of convictions and expertise. A truly rare and precious moment. The welcome, the cuisine, the wines… everything was inspiring and joyful. A unique place. Thank you to the artists.

30/10/2025: Visited as a family during the All Saints' Day holiday. The setting and atmosphere weren't great, but the waiter was quite efficient. The main drawback was the food, which wasn't to our taste... the fish soup was too salty, served with stale bread instead of croutons, and the rouille was bland. The red mullet fillet was unseasoned and served with lukewarm mashed potatoes, all swimming in oil... On the other hand, the children's menu was a hit. Very mixed feelings.

05/04/2026: Very poor service; we waited 30 minutes for a coffee and a crepe. They served two tables that had arrived much later than us first.

11/01/2026: Beware of groups with children!!! The manager refused to serve us, claiming he was out of crepes... The real reason was that we had several children... A couple came in right after us to ask for crepes, and the manager welcomed them. He could have simply told us there were too many of us, and we would have accepted it.

07/04/2026: Easter Sunday, despite the crowds, received a very pleasant welcome and the service was perfect and very friendly. The dishes were delicious and the non-alcoholic aperitif was excellent. I knew this restaurant; it hasn't changed. The welcome and the menus are still very good.
