Basilico Bistro sur Lorient

Great restaurant in the center of Lorient. The pasta was delicious and very flavorful. We felt like we were in a small restaurant in southern Italy, which was lovely because, being seated next to the kitchen, we could hear Italian being spoken! Marie Janine, the waitress, was very friendly! The prices were reasonable, but be sure to make a reservation!

What a fantastic discovery this Italian restaurant in Lorient was during the Interceltic Festival! Everything was absolutely superb! The pasta was fresh and, I presume, homemade, given how tender it was. The side dishes were also of excellent quality. And the tiramisu was simply divine! A true delight from start to finish, and definitely a place to discover without hesitation. The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was lovely too. Thank you so much for this wonderful dinner!

We discovered Basilico Bistro by chance and it was a wonderful find. The service is excellent, the food is divine. Even the children's menus are very good. We enjoyed introducing our children to delicious flavors while also enjoying ourselves. The staff is welcoming and friendly. A place to remember!

Three stars until we can try again, since we were turned away tonight. It's not possible to book by phone, and for six people, it's difficult to find a last-minute table. So, we'll see how things go for a more informed opinion, but we can imagine that if the restaurant is easily full, it's not by chance ☺️ To be honest, I wasn't unhappy, having understood that if the restaurant was full, it was for a good reason, and I was looking forward to returning. But when I see this response, which, instead of telling me they would be happy to see me again, explains that I would have to drive from Larmor during the restaurant's opening hours to make a reservation and then drive back to Larmor, and then gives me a lecture on the difficulty of finding staff... All this because they don't want to implement a reservation system on the grounds that it's full of regulars and locals... Good for you, I hope it stays that way.

It had been a long time since we'd eaten so well in a restaurant! Every single dish was delicious. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back! Thank you to the whole team for their warm welcome.

An excellent restaurant in Lorient! A warm welcome, attentive service, and a very pleasant atmosphere. The dishes were delicious, prepared with quality ingredients and bursting with flavor. Everything was perfect. A truly charming little Italian restaurant where you feel right at home. Absolutely fantastic! We will definitely be back.
