Basta Cosi ! sur Villeneuve-Les-Avignon

I was disappointed with my experience at Basta Cosi. I had heard good things about it in the past, but it's clear that the quality has declined. The pizza was good but basic; the ingredients used weren't high quality and lacked flavor. The dough was very difficult to cut. The tomato tatin was tiny and uninteresting; it was greasy, and the pickled onions weren't marinated enough. My biggest disappointment was the dessert. An Italian restaurant wouldn't be complete without tiramisu, but I've had much better. Here, it was mostly sponge cake, and not even soaked enough. The essence of tiramisu lies in the cream, and unfortunately, I was left wanting more. The service was a bit slow, and we didn't have the same waiter from beginning to end, but they were all pleasant and smiling. Finally, regarding the atmosphere, the background music combined with the noise from the terrace could be quite unbearable at times. In short, I was planning to stop over in Italy but I certainly wouldn't recommend the trip.

Best pasta ever, we'll be back!

We're regulars and come often with our children. Our last experience was mixed…we found the pizzas weren't as good as they used to be. The crust was way overcooked and the pizza wasn't very well topped. We were looking for the mushrooms. A real shame!

We were passing through Avignon and loved eating at Basta Cosi! A nice little terrace, and a very pleasant, competent, and efficient waitress. It was busy, but there was no wait between courses. We arrived 30 minutes early and were welcomed even though service hadn't started. We had a fantastic meal and drinks! We were quite generous with our orders (two cocktails, a charcuterie board, a main course each, and a dessert each), and to our surprise at the checkout, the price was very reasonable! We're not from the area, but we wish we had a restaurant this good closer to home! Thank you for this wonderful experience!
