Belle Isle Sur Risle Restaurant sur Manneville-Sur-Risle

Very quiet hotel, excellent service, gourmet restaurant!

The atmosphere was straight out of an Agatha Christie film; we spent our entire stay wondering about the identity of the killer of Belle Isle-sur-Risle. We particularly enjoyed the pianist, the mirrors, and the very chic period decor. The hotel is filled with the scents of Normandy. The room was spacious, with a lovely bathroom and an exceptionally comfortable bed. We loved the outdoor pool and the spa. The hotel's surroundings are very pleasant, with a large garden and a particularly welcoming town with plenty of small shops. When will they film the mystery of Belle Isle-sur-Risle?!

What more can I say? Our little haven of peace is as beautiful as ever. Thank you to the team for this lovely weekend. See you next year for the 12th year in a row!

The hotel is situated in a lovely park, and the château is beautiful both inside and out. However, for the price, many things need improvement. The spa is a 1960s-era facility that hasn't been updated since and is quite uninviting. The room was nice and the bed comfortable, but there was a musty smell, and the bathroom also needed updating. Finally, we were very surprised by the pushy approach of the staff—we were repeatedly reminded that we could dine in the restaurant, and breakfast was even included in the bill at €20 per person, even though we hadn't ordered it! The place has a lot of potential, but there's a lack of investment.

The staff are attentive and eager to help. The grounds are lovely, the manor house is in good condition, and so is the room; we had a separate room for our son, which was a very pleasant surprise. The dining and lounge areas are attractive. The bedding is comfortable. The indoor pool is warm; I'm sensitive to the cold, but I got in without any problem. The upkeep isn't perfect. But considering the amount of work involved in maintaining this type of hotel, it certainly deserves its 5 stars. The breakfast is varied. I would gladly return!
