Big Horn sur Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

A decent vegan dish, clearly marked as such; the crumble is also vegan (without the ice cream). Their burger recipe has changed; it no longer contains mushrooms, which is a shame. However, adding 5 euros for a "standard" burger if you want to replace the meat with a non-vegan patty is frankly outrageous. I'm not deducting a star, though, because if the restaurant didn't offer any vegan options, I wouldn't have gone, so I don't want to lower their rating when they deserve credit for this. Welcome to Chamonix, where, like everywhere in France, vegan options are unfortunately very limited. Other areas for improvement: the menu is initially in English, with the French translation in italics—well, we are in France, after all... The restaurant's presentation is also initially only in English (without translation). Furthermore, the website's constantly popping up reservation form is quite irritating when you just want to look at the menu. Thank you anyway for your vegan offer and best of luck!

In my personal opinion, we ordered a beef burger. The taste was average, but the fries were nice and dry. Their service was very nice and friendly. 🌹

The restaurant is wonderful and its location is beautiful in the center of Chamonix. It has outdoor seating overlooking the summit of Mont Blanc. The service is fast, and all the staff are kind, helpful, and welcoming. The burgers are a good size and taste amazing, whether they are chicken or beef burgers, and their corn is served in a very delicious way. (All the meat and chicken there is halal.)

Our party of 6 dined at Bighorn Bistro and loved it and here's why. The menu at Bighorn is very diverse, our party of 6 included meat lovers, vegans and gluten free due to celiac disease. The burgers, starters, desserts and drinks menu were great. We were served by a lovely waitress from Finland how helped with menu selection and also pronouncing some of the areas in French. So sorry cant remember her name. All in all we loved our time here.

Excellent hamburger and beer gluten free

A warm and welcoming restaurant, as always. The dishes are generous and delicious. I recommend the ribs with barbecue sauce.

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the food was absolutely delicious. The bistro is well worth its high rating.

This must be the best place for lunch in Chamonix? We were a party of five and we were all super happy with both the service and the food. The bowls were delicious and wholesome. The burger too and they even had homemade gluten free burger buns! Our waitress was friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome and at home. We would love to go back!

Best food and beer in Chamonix. Owners were super nice. We dined here 2 nights in a row. The bowls are fantastic!

We had an absolutely fantastic time here! I booked with a group of 11 and we could not have been more looked after/cared for the entire evening I didn’t catch his name (sorry!) but the owner who was Aussie/American looked after us like we were guests in his home! I cannot recommend this place more 🫶
