Late arrival for me (1:55 p.m.), my son being hospitalized at the hospital next door. I was still offered a hot dish. Excellent vegetable lasagna.

The Bistrot de la Gare is one of those places whose importance you don't suspect... until you stop there. You'll find everything a traveler could wish for—and even a little more. A good coffee, a croissant, and you're ready to go again, your step light and your stomach firmly reassured. The coffee is served so quickly that you wonder if time has stood still. As for the barista, he doesn't seem to realize what he's doing: offering such good coffee for such a modest price... God bless him for this little daily miracle.
