Bistrot d'Emile sur Grenoble

My girlfriend and I stopped by the bistro to see if they offered takeout, as we didn't have time to eat in. They were indeed offering the entire menu for takeout. The two ladies who served us were lovely, and they went out of their way to ensure we received the same level of service as if we had dined in. They spontaneously prepared a small bag of paper napkins containing the equivalent of a bread basket, along with sachets of mayonnaise and ketchup for our journey. Thank you so much for these thoughtful touches – it was a real pleasure to receive!

Salad and lunch menu are decent, but be aware of the wait as it gets very busy.

So friendly! How can I describe the feeling of welcome? It's like family, open, and hospitable; so typical of Grenoble, these people—in the best possible way! Thank you, we weren't there long, but I loved it so much!

Friendly, good food, good service, so a good place to go.

Very noisy. When the terrace is open, the wait times before orders are taken and the service is very long. Don't order what they call "carbonara"...it's just five sad pieces of pasta swimming in a cream/water and olive oil sauce with an egg on top. Very expensive, and I was still hungry after that €15 dish. The steak tartare and the burger are good. Personally, I'd only eat there as a last resort, if it's raining and everything else is closed.

The neighborhood is nice, and the bistro is very accessible. But the mass-produced food and the waiter who didn't even look at us when we ordered were too much for me. It was like we were bothering them... There are better places not too far away.

This restaurant is simply perfect: warm and professional service, divine and generous cuisine, and complimentary after-dinner drinks! Try it without hesitation.

Definitely worth checking out if you're passing through Grenoble.
