A dream weekend at the estate, an elegant yet rustic setting nestled in the tranquility of a magnificent forest. Charming residences, a very comfortable room in the Pavilion, and a delightful breakfast served both indoors and outdoors. Impeccable service, everything was perfect.

The rooms have a somewhat dated charm and could use a refresh in their decor. A small gift to thank guests for their stay would be a nice touch. Commends for the breakfast: high-quality pastries. The grounds are superb.

Our stay was highly disappointing and completely fell short of this property's tier. The room felt outdated, neglected, and freezing. To make matters worse, the staff's attitude was just as cold. When we tried to dine at the hotel restaurant, we were flatly told there was no availability and were simply dismissed to an outside restaurant they recommended. It felt like maximizing profit was their only priority, not hospitality. This hotel simply does not live up to its reputation。

An extraordinary residence! The quality of the welcome, the services, and the setting are simply exceptional! A magnificent forest estate, like a jewel box surrounding what I hesitate to call a hotel. Here, the art of French hospitality is truly embodied.

The pros: The castle is magnificent, as are the surrounding grounds. The setting is truly exceptional. The staff is pleasant and welcoming. The rooms are tastefully decorated and in harmony with the surroundings, making for a visually very pleasing stay. The cons: Unfortunately, we were disappointed on several points. Our room had a strong chemical smell, which was very unpleasant. Furthermore, the bathtub didn't drain properly, making the experience rather unpleasant. Breakfast was also disappointing, with limited choices and some unappetizing items. The prices for drinks are hard to justify: €18 for a spritz by the pool, for a rather mediocre cocktail that didn't live up to the price. Finally, our departure was poorly managed. Since check-out was at 11:00 AM, we received two calls at 11:15 AM reminding us, when we were simply waiting for our luggage to be collected. This was perceived as pushy and impolite. Despite our comments, no goodwill gesture was offered, which leaves a disappointing final impression given the expected standard.

An exceptional weekend at Les Hauts de Loire! From the moment we arrived, we received a warm and immediate welcome. A delightful surprise awaited us with a room upgrade, accompanied by thoughtful touches that made our stay even more special. The place is absolutely charming, peaceful, and full of character, perfect for a timeless escape: swimming pool, tennis court, spa, and a beautiful sunny terrace. In the evening, we dined at the hotel's bistro and savored a matured ribeye steak… simply perfect: expertly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and bursting with flavor. An experience worthy of the Relais & Châteaux reputation, where every detail is meticulously attended to. We left completely won over and with only one desire: to return!
