Bistrot Gourmand Clovis sur Tourrettes-Sur-Loup

Bistro Clovis was a serendipitous find on our last day in Vence. Food was great and the courses were flexible for mix-and-match, so we got to try a few dishes. Service was super friendly yet there was enough privacy given to us. Highly recommended!

Simply superb. Please keep doing what you are doing. Delicious food in a perfect atmosphere, served by outstanding staff. Everything is extremely thoughtful: the seasonal, local ingredients, the well described meticioulus preparation and the perfeclty matching wine. We had the best experience of our whole stay here. Will definately be back!

Our last day in vence, and we decided to extend our drive up north to this little town, Tourette Sur Loop. It’s another village for your morning walkabout. We chance upon this restaurant called Clovis, and glad that they were open. It was a Monday and most of the Restaurants were closed. The food, service and ambience were top! I recommend this place.

Three choices of components (vegetarian, fish, meat), each as starter or main plus delicious desserts… combine as you like. We. Had tomatoes tartar and tuna, tuna and beef, and beef and strawberry rhubarb crumble with a great recommendation for Rose champagne and wine … add to that attentive (if at times a little lengthy) service and a gorgeous outdoor terrace and it makes for a wonderful evening. Thank you! 🙏

We eat well and drink well. The place is a bit cold. The service was very friendly but inattentive: never seen having to urinate the wine first and then order food.

While visiting the Nice region, we stopped at Tourrettes-Sur-Loup to visit the city and have dinner there. Result: excellent evening spent as a couple in chef Julien's restaurant Le Bistrot Gourmand Clovis. From the welcome to the tasting of the food it was perfect. Multiple flavors, original appetizers, cuisine based on fresh, seasonal produce, such as, at the start of summer, lemon-infused zucchini accompanied by tomato sorbet; a piece of veal with its juice and vegetables; Basque Sheep’s Snow with Espelette pepper-poached pears and Morello cherries; the dessert Cherries with cocoa straciatella with basil ice cream and sesame biscuit, everything delights our taste buds. The food and wine pairing is also on par with the menu. To recommend

Excellente soirée passée en couple dans le restaurant du chef Julien. De l'accueil à la dégustation des mets c'était parfait. Saveurs multiples, originalité des amuses-gueules, cuisine à base de produits frais et de saison, tel que, en ce début d'été, des courgettes infusées citron accompagnées d'un sorbet tomate; une pièce de veau avec son jus et ses légumes; la Neige de Brebis Basque aux Poires pochées au piment d’Espelette avec Griottes; le dessert Cerises à la straciatella au cacao avec glace au basilic et biscuit sésame, le tout ravit nos papilles. Très bon accueil, regrettable de mettre des prix aussi élevés en regard de l’assiette servie. Les portions sont restreintes. Ne parlons pas du tarif du café !!! Le seul point positif du menu est la qualité de la cuisine.
