Bistrot Populaire sur Paris

Mixed by the experience which was not horrible but not necessarily great either. First of all, we came around 4 p.m. on a Friday and after we were outside it took a long time for the waiter to notice us. After giving us the card and although there weren't many people there at the time, he took another 15 minutes to come and ask us what we wanted and so on. The happy hour menu is very restrictive, their homemade lemonade is quite fragrant and not very sweet, the charcuterie board itself is good but what a disappointment to see all the salad hidden underneath. A short moment before telling us that what we had chosen for dessert was not available, the crème brûlée is good but nothing more. Furthermore, the toilets are not practical given where they are positioned but they were relatively clean. The place is certainly charming and rather well positioned but it's not necessarily a bar/brasserie to which I want to return.

Maître de l'hotel was obviously on a night off from Fouquets - a level of service and poise you would not expect in such an intimate, family friendly, yet adult setting. A gentle hum of relaxed indistinguishable conversations filled the 'room' and the children around us very much picked up on the vibe. Happy tired faces left the bistro, whilst we enjoyed our food and the house red - which was a little better than it ought to have been. A very very pleasant way to end the day. Merci a tous!

Excellent and welcoming service. Two gentlemen. I greet them. Penne was already too early, I'm sorry but....you have to change.

When you visit, a handsome and cheerful brother will guide you. I first had onion soup in France and it was just so-so. It's not that this place doesn't taste good, it's just like onion soup. The salmon steak is delicious but a bit bland. Duck leg confit is delicious. The French fries that come with it are a real treat. Be careful. They are really delicious.

Duck confit escargot is delicious. It was my first time trying it so I can't compare, but it was delicious. I think it would have been nice to sit inside where it didn't smell like cigarettes. The waiter is so friendly that you just have to ask.

Festive atmosphere, admirable cuisine, welcome that couldn’t be friendlier 🤩. I recommend this bar with my eyes closed! PS: warm terrace even in winter. Impeccable 👌

Maybe it's Christmas and the crowd is less and it was enjoyable to eat and the music selection was great! I had fish & chips and Chakchouka. Not quite the chakchouka I usually had. Dish looked simple, but taste was OK. Service was ok, but the waiter kinda slow and not responsive.
