My partner and I decided to stop at the Bistrot Régent. The menu was good, no complaints there.
However, the waiter didn't seem to know much when we asked him for information.
And on top of that, he was snickering!

Disappointed, no more tea lights. We were told it was a restriction, which I can believe, but changing the tiramisu to just mousse with a tiny bit of cake base makes it a rather expensive dessert.

I wanted to leave a very positive review for this restaurant. The team goes above and beyond to satisfy every customer; it's a job with an enormous mental workload, so respect to the staff for their patience with grumpy customers, and sometimes with a way of speaking that isn't very pleasant for them! Only those who work in retail can truly understand their perspective, especially with the French, who are never satisfied with anything.
Stay just as you are and don't change a thing. Much respect to the entire team.

We had a pleasant time. However, we were disappointed by the "appetizer platter" offered: a bag of crisps, some sausages, and a can of pâté placed haphazardly on a plate, not even presented or unwrapped (perhaps this could have been mentioned?). Then, we hadn't even finished our appetizers when the main courses arrived, cluttering the table. Aside from this disappointment, the main course was very good. Just a word of advice: don't order the "appetizer platter." It didn't make us want to order dessert. The servers were very friendly.
