Black Corner sur Montpellier

The meal was very good, no complaints. The meat was cooked perfectly. Overall, the meal was very good and excellent value for money. However, the service needs improvement. The waiters gave the impression of not knowing their job. There was no communication among the staff (two identical dishes were served even though we had already eaten). Drinks weren't served at the same time as the other orders, and the same was true for the appetizers. But I still recommend it.

The service is so much better here than next door. Don't hesitate any longer.

We went to this restaurant for dessert. We opted for the gourmet tea and coffee, as well as a chocolate mousse. Everything was delicious, we had a lovely time! ☀️

2026: Excellent cocktails (generous mint, delicious Agua Limon). But the mozzarella sticks (the kind you find everywhere) arrived completely overcooked, charred, and burnt. We only managed one. The waiter clearly saw there was a problem with the sticks. No compensation was offered. I'm lowering their rating; their excellent cocktails save their 4 stars. 2021: Dine with my father. We had two very good burgers cooked as ordered (one rare, one well-done). The fries weren't homemade but were good. The desserts were store-bought. They recently changed their marinade for their burgers, and we found them excellent, well-cooked, and not dry. Overall, good value for money and a great welcome. If I could give 4.5 stars, I would. It doesn't deserve just 4, so I'm giving it 5. I've read some of the negative comments below... and I don't really understand them...

The entrecôte was well served with homemade fries and salad, nothing to complain about, the price was fair, for a first time we were pleasantly satisfied.

Passing through Montpellier, I came to eat with the children. Frankly, the food is very good, I recommend it.

How to sum up this evening... drawn by a daily special, we rushed to the terrace. A meal with friends (five of us) that was full of surprises. The service was a bit chaotic, but brilliantly salvaged by Cathia (a message for the owner... don't hesitate to offer her a bonus!). In the end, an excellent time with delicious food. A great place to remember.

A very pleasant and peaceful restaurant with excellent, very fast service. The waitress was exceptional, and the dish was sumptuous with a honey sauce worthy of Tayc's music. In the black duck shop I chose, I felt that this duck had lived a happy and fulfilling life, free from any suffering. I highly recommend this restaurant in Montpellier.

A very pleasant short experience. I came specifically for a movie and had lunch at this establishment just before. With only 30 minutes, they made sure I was served promptly. I ordered a trio of beef, duck, and chicken skewers with homemade fries, green salad, and homemade barbecue sage for under €15. The meat was excellent, the fries were great, and the sauce was deliciously smoky. Unbeatable value for money.
