Block'Out sur Strasbourg

Great for a first climb! Super friendly staff! Plenty of facilities (sauna, gym, etc.) It's a shame about the dampness on the shower walls.

A huge thank you for the open days in September 2024 where I was able to climb for free with my family, and where 10-entry passes (valid for future use – with no expiration date) were sold for €100. I hope BlocOut will continue this offer in the future – or at least offer it again during other open days. €10 to come climbing at a bouldering gym is the right price! A word about the opening: there aren't many comments on this, but the gym offers relatively few interesting boulder problems for strong children. Problems above B8 are almost all impossible if you're under 1.40m tall, which could be addressed if the route setters consider it. I'm looking forward to climbing some hard boulder problems at BlocOut with my daughters in the future!

Nice gym, but it's in need of maintenance. The reception is excellent. You're always welcome, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Thanks for the new fast-track entry for members, which saves time at the entrance! The climbing wall is quite large, and the bouldering problems are fairly varied. There's something for everyone to enjoy. The small gym is also really nice; you can find everything you need for your weekly workout. Plus, there's a snack bar and a sauna. So overall, it's a really interesting and welcoming gym. However, I'm really disappointed by the poor maintenance. It took three weeks to change a lightbulb, two months to screw the sauna door handle back on, plus there's mold that desperately needs treatment, the steam room has been out of service for months, and the toilets either have a half-working flush or smell... well, you know. And unfortunately, the ventilation is also lacking. Please Blockout, give the maintenance a real boost. We love this room, but it's falling apart ;(

We had a good time on the boulders. Snack prices were a bit high.

Great first session, perfect for beginners. The gym is big enough for plenty of challenges, with changing rooms and showers! 👍 The team is super friendly. 😄 There's a bar and restaurant on site, which is really convenient for taking a break or grabbing a bite to eat after a workout. 😁 Open until 11 pm on weekdays, so you can avoid the crowds and have the gym to yourself in the evening. 🌛

For the climbing aspect, it's perfect, great openings, great atmosphere, however, hygiene-wise it's a big 0. Honestly, it's frightening: mold on the ceiling and walls, dirty showers, a moldy sauna area, actual holes in the walls due to humidity and a lack of cleaning and maintenance, a hammam closed for months, no work done, the facilities are deteriorating day by day, frankly a shame.

Very friendly place, welcoming and smiling staff. Good atmosphere, I recommend it.

Always a pleasant welcome, the routes change, generally good music, relaxing atmosphere, small gym and sauna as a bonus!
