Boeuf and Cow sur Caen

08/09/2026: I didn't know this restaurant at all, but what an incredible discovery! 🤩 My sweetheart and I went there for his birthday and we had an amazing evening. The service was impeccable, with incredible kindness and attentiveness from beginning to end. Between the main course and dessert, I went to ask the waitress if it would be possible to put a candle on my sweetheart's dessert. She replied, "It's good that you mentioned it, I don't even know if we have any... but if we don't, I'll quickly go buy some at Carrefour." And honestly, I found that absolutely adorable. The fact that she was willing to go buy candles just for us, to make sure the birthday went as planned, is really the kind of thoughtful touch that makes all the difference. ❤️ And let's talk about the galettes: they are huge and absolutely delicious! The crêpes are just as good. I ordered a gourmet tea so I could try a little bit of everything, and honestly, the cookie was delicious, the crepe incredible… even though it's "just" a sweet butter crepe 🤣 No, really, it was both excellent and an unforgettable experience. A huge thank you to the chefs and thank you again for the exceptional service. You greatly contributed to making my sweetheart's birthday truly memorable. 08/09/2026: I discovered this restaurant about two years ago thanks to a contest my mother won. We were lucky enough to enjoy the free family menu, and it was love at first bite. Since then, it's become one of my favorite places. The service is impeccable and quick, and the owners are absolutely lovely. The galettes are delicious, generously filled, and incredibly tasty, with a wide variety of both savory and sweet options. Today, for my birthday, my sweetheart and I went back. She hadn't been to the restaurant before, and she, too, was immediately charmed. I had a truly wonderful evening there. The owners were absolutely delightful from start to finish. And there's a small detail that might seem trivial, but it really touched me: my sweetheart wanted to put candles on my dessert. They weren't sure they'd have any, so they offered to go get some at the Carrefour next door so I could blow out my candles. They even came over to sing "Happy Birthday" when it was time to serve dessert. It might seem like a small gesture, but for me, it's exactly what makes the difference between a restaurant where you just go to eat and a place where you truly come to have a good time. You can tell the owners aren't just trying to make a profit, but that they genuinely care about giving their customers a wonderful experience and creating something special. And honestly, that really warmed my heart. I highly recommend this place. You'll eat very well, but more importantly, you'll have a wonderful time. ❤️
