Bord'O sur Laval

The restaurant is across from the water (hence the name), but it's actually more on a road than on the water (but that's okay). The dining room where we ate was quite small and noisy (we were a group of eight). The welcome was friendly, the waiter was competent and chatted well with the customers. However, it seems difficult to serve the starters and main courses separately (to avoid wasting too much time between starters/mains and mains/desserts), which wasn't a big deal, but it made for a very long lunch (I know there were eight of us, but there were a maximum of 15 people in the restaurant). As for the food, the price is reasonable, but the steak tartare was so-so. No seasoning was offered (no sauces), and the quality of the tartare itself was poor (nothing inside, no capers, no preparation, just chopped, so it ended up being a bit boiled, sorry). The dessert, on the other hand, was good (nougat glacé). Overall, a bit of a mixed bag for me.

Simple but tasty food. Generous portions. Very pleasant terrace.

We came today. The dishes were very, very good and generous, just the way they should be. I thoroughly enjoyed the guinea fowl, which was beautifully presented. The waiters were very helpful, attentive, and pleasant. I recommend this restaurant and will gladly return.

Good, unpretentious food. Tasty and efficient, but lacking originality. Two steak frites on the menu is too many. Otherwise, it's well executed.

We came this Sunday at lunchtime to the guinguette area. Very warm welcome, quick service, simple but sufficient menu with good products.

We stopped here for lunch and only the owner spoke English. He was so nice and patient going thru the menu with us. The food was fabulous, the wine was magnificent and the view of the river was gorgeous.
