A very nice bakery, with a good variety of bread and everything we tried was delicious. The service was excellent.

This became “our” boulangerie during our month-long stay in Bordeaux. Our favorites were the dry fruit bread (toasted with butter), baguettes, and the jesuite.

I wanted to try this neighborhood bakery, and honestly, what a pleasant surprise! Arriving around 8:00 or 8:30 in the morning, the atmosphere was truly delightful: few people, peaceful, and the little square next to Saint-Michel Church added a real charm. It was a peaceful and refreshing experience. What I particularly appreciated was being able to watch the baker at work. You know who's preparing what you're eating, and I find that incredibly reassuring and authentic. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a smile, kindness, and genuine positive energy—it's a real pleasure to start the day! As for the products: The pain au chocolat (yes, I say pain au chocolat 😄) was excellent: generously filled, with a generous amount of chocolate that spilled over the sides, which is becoming rare these days. The butter croissant had a good flavor, slightly dry, but well-made. But above all, what really struck me was the pleasure of eating without making a mess. It's been a long time! These days, in many bakeries, everything crumbles, everything falls apart… you get it everywhere and you don't really enjoy it anymore. Here, on the contrary, the pastries hold their shape well, they're pleasant to eat, and it brings back the true, simple pleasure of enjoying them without any fuss. The bakery is a decent size, clean, with a well-presented window display and impeccable staff. And ultimately, it proves one thing: quality doesn't depend on the neighborhood's reputation. Even in an unassuming place, you can find excellent bakers. It's not the location that makes a good business, but the expertise, the welcome, and the professionalism. Next step for me: going back to try the pastries still warm, straight from the oven—in my opinion, they must be even better! A wonderful discovery 👍

I wanted to sit down for breakfast. Unfortunately, contrary to what's written here, it's not possible to get coffee on the premises. The cinnamon bun wasn't bad. We're not in Sweden, though!

Excellent value for money! A choice of bread, the ability to create your own sandwich with four ingredients, all extremely fresh and made with quality products, for a very generous €5.90. I opted for a half-baguette with grains, hummus, country ham, Comté cheese, and arugula. A warm and friendly welcome. I highly recommend it.
