Probably the best bakery in town. A true neighborhood institution. A wide selection and quality products. A dynamic and professional team despite the regularly enormous queues outside the shop. Go for it!

The Kouign Amann from this establishment is delicious

After a tricky parking spot in the campervan, I walked to the much-desired bakery. Douarnenez being the capital of kouign amann, I had to go to the king. I was sure I'd arrive at the shop without even seeing the sign; the length of the queue spoke for itself. When it was my turn, I received friendly service and helpful advice on my choices. The aroma of freshly baked butter wafted through the air and filled the little shop. In the end, we devoured what we had bought for four in just one day. Those of you reading this, go for it... with your eyes closed and your mouth wide open!!

The kouign amann and the far breton are just perfect.

I've been coming here for years, often during the film festival, and I'm never disappointed. It's always the souvenir I want to bring back from Douarnenez. It's such a delight, it makes me incredibly happy to eat it <3

Efficient and fast service, the kouign amann are absolutely delicious, as is the Breton cake. The baguettes are also very good and reasonably priced.

The queues outside on the road and repeat business by locals and non-locals indicate something special. I'm not sure what is the best time to go as I have queued every time. My family and I get a baguette and try some of the pastries. Whatever is available. The first two times there were no pain aux chocolats left. We tried the Gateau with fruits, prune cake (first time and very good) the third visit we managed to secure a pain au chocolat. We plan to go back to try the local cake. They do sandwiches to takeaway also. Staff are efficient but helpful and the queue moves fast enough. Highly recommended but be prepared to queue.

The best kouign amann in the world! The rice pudding is also excellent. Don't miss it if you go to Douarnenez.
