I've been highly critical of Marie Blachère's industrial and expansionist methods, and I never thought I'd become one of their most loyal customers… but this Marie Blachère Bellegarde bakery deserves praise for the work they've done. Their breads are clearly a cut above the rest; only a few passionate organic bakeries in the Ain department do a better job. Thank you.

Very good baguettes (Marie's baguettes), not very expensive, still good and crusty the next day. October 2025 review: Unfortunately, the taste and quality of the baguettes have declined. Definitely. The baguettes are often cold and tasteless, and hard the next day.

22/03/2026: Best kebab in Bellegarde, I've been coming here forever. Unfortunately, they're not very generous with the sauces and the manager is a bit moody, but otherwise very friendly, thank you! Always on time and quick. But the prices are high.
22/01/2026: A warm and friendly welcome awaited us as we enjoyed our kebab on the premises. We were offered a complimentary aperitif. The kebab was beautifully presented and a generous portion. The sauces were served individually in small cups, allowing for precise portion control. The kebab itself was of good quality. However, it should be eaten quickly as it cools down rapidly. As for the dessert: a pleasant surprise in the best possible way. The combination of the two elements was well-chosen and truly delicious. We'll definitely be back.
