I wanted to try the rosette sandwich, but they were sold out. I opted for a chicken sandwich instead. The bread was good, but the filling—chicken, lettuce, and tomato—was very bland and tasteless. There wasn't even a slightly spicy mayo or a single pickle. Appearance is one thing, but it's not everything; the taste needs to live up to expectations in this era of increasingly popular snack alternatives. Sincerely, Bruno
While visiting Bergerac, we stopped at the Marie Blachère bakery. It was a well-stocked shop with a nice variety of products, but above all, the staff was welcoming and made us laugh because they were teasing a man in training.
We bought sandwiches, bread, and pastries because we had a sweet tooth. Kudos to the whole team for the warm welcome, because there are some truly unpleasant customers out there who can't be bothered by a baguette.
Marie's baguette is excellent, and the 3+1 offer is a great deal. They have a wide selection of breads, pastries, and fresh sandwiches for lunch. The service is quick and efficient; I highly recommend it.
