Boulangerie Patisserie Cohier sur Paris

The experience wasn't bad, but I can't say it was good either. We went to the place on three different occasions and, on all of them, we had a very similar impression. The sweets are tasty, well-made, and have a very interesting balance of flavors—there's definitely quality in what's served. Unfortunately, the service doesn't match the same level. Our French is quite limited, but we always try to communicate as best as possible, using the few words we know and trying to be polite. The problem is that, when we asked a question, the server didn't seem very willing to understand what we were trying to say, nor did she seem to make any effort to facilitate communication. On one of the visits, we arrived close to closing time, but the establishment was still open. We just wanted to buy a sweet to go, something quick. From the moment we entered, however, we had the feeling that we were bothering them. When we asked a question, I received practically a single word as an answer, spoken so softly that it sounded more like a whisper. We weren't expecting special treatment because we were close to closing time, just a little more cordiality. It's a shame, because when the product quality is good, even a minimally welcoming service could completely transform the experience—especially in a city that receives people from all over the world. Now, to be fair: the highlight of the night and the five stars go to the kitten! 😸 She was peacefully lying there and, when we approached, all she did was purr, cuddle, and be happy. Without saying a word—in French, English, or Portuguese—she managed to be, by far, the most communicative and friendly person in the place. 😂 The sweets would make us come back. The kitten, for sure, too. The service… unfortunately, still needs a lot of improvement.

Boyfriend ordered some pastries to take back to our hotel and we liked the legume pastry and smoked salmon broccoli quiche! The quiche was our favourite. Still warm and base slightly crispy. They warmed up the legume pastry which was nice but a bit bland for my taste. The pan au chocolat looked so good but it was not as crispy as it looked unfortunately :’( We also got coffee which was only alright and a hot chocolate which tasted basic but no complaints. No alternative milk. Would get the quiche again!

The staff are welcoming and very friendly, the pastries are delicious, AND there's an incredibly adorable cat at the entrance. I'd say Pearl Bakery is one of the best bakeries I've ever been to.

I happened to be passing by this bakery and decided to have breakfast there. What a pleasant surprise! The welcome was warm and friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. I'm happy to recommend it!

This bakery offers a wide range of fresh products, from sweet to savory, including baguettes—everything is excellent. The service is perfect, with staff always smiling and attentive. It's always busy, a well-deserved success. It's also one of the few bakeries in the area open on Saturdays and Sundays. 👍❤️🐻‍❄️
