22/02/2026: Loved the beautiful food and especially loved the sommeliers wit. My only criticism was on our exit where all the serving staff seemed to disappear and no proper farewell. Most high end Parisian restaurants manage a better farewell.

21/02/2026: I had an exceptional evening at Le Clarence with my parents. From the very beginning, we were captivated by the beauty of the setting and delighted to be seated in the heart of the library. The personalized experience was perfect, with a fish- and seafood-free menu specially created for my father due to his dietary restrictions. We were charmed by the originality of the dishes and thoroughly enjoyed the chef's surf-and-turf combinations. The service was absolutely outstanding, with an energetic, generous, refined, and witty team that contrasted sharply with the classic décor. We appreciated the personality of each team member, who always spoke with great precision and made our evening truly special. Special mention goes to the sommelier who, in addition to recommending exceptional wines while perfectly respecting our budget, offered us tastings of several selections and, as a bonus, gave us a tour of the kitchens and the hotel floors at the end of the meal. A huge thank you also to the restaurant manager, who was incredibly attentive and made our evening truly memorable. I highly recommend this superb restaurant for a unique and completely personalized experience. We will gladly return, confident of a warm welcome.

04/03/2026: We dined at L'Arôme with fairly high expectations. The restaurant itself is beautiful and refined, very much what you’d expect from a Michelin-starred establishment in Paris. The decor is elegant and understated, creating a nice setting for what should have been a memorable dinner. What puzzled me from the start was the seating. We arrived for our 7:30 reservation as the first guests of the evening, yet were placed at a small table right by the entrance while the rest of the dining room was empty. It felt odd. Maybe there was a reason, but it did cross my mind whether we simply weren’t given the better seats. Strangely, towards the end of the meal they asked us to move further inside the restaurant. It seemed like a gesture to give us a better table, but we hadn’t asked for it and honestly it felt unnecessary by that point. If that was the intention, it probably should have been done at the start. Food-wise, the mains were well executed and what you’d expect from a one-star kitchen. Some starters were less convincing though. The curried crab felt fairly average. The bread was unfortunately the weakest part of the meal. For a French restaurant, it simply wasn’t very good, and I noticed several tables leaving most of it behind. Service was decent but not particularly proactive. Explanations were minimal unless asked, and even the wine pairing only came up after we raised it ourselves. Will I return? Maybe. But for this price point, they really need to step it up. I’ve dined at two and three starred restaurants that are far ahead in both food and service, and they cost less.

Extraordinary welcome, top-notch customer service, attentive and genuinely kind—that's becoming rare. You really feel welcome, and that makes all the difference. A wonderful spot in the 8th arrondissement; we'll definitely be back.

18/03/2026: Invited by my family for my 50th birthday, the service was impeccable, nothing to complain about, they were very attentive. The food was delicious, and even though I'm not a big fan of dill, there was some in my salmon gravlax, but it was subtle enough that I was able to eat it. The setting is beautiful. The little touch of the discreet candle at the end was lovely; it made me feel unobtrusive, unlike in some other restaurants, and the little squares of chocolate were a nice touch.
