Having been a customer since 2007, I changed bakeries, never received a commercial gesture even during the holiday season, I don't know the case with my new baker at least he offers a pastry or baguette.

Breads and pastries always top-notch, as well as prepared meals to take away. Fast, friendly service, and above all, with a smile. Pleasant atmosphere.

As a customer almost every weekend for the past year and a half to two years, I'm writing a review because I'm unfortunately becoming increasingly disappointed. I've known this bakery for years (even before I moved nearby) and, initially, I was satisfied. But over time, the quality of service has significantly declined. The friendliness of the staff is very inconsistent. Of the entire team, only one saleswoman truly stands out for her professionalism and kindness (Anaïs, if I'm not mistaken, with a southern accent). She's smiling, conscientious, pleasant, and genuinely makes you want to come back. Unfortunately, this isn't the case for one or two other saleswomen: some seem unwelcoming, even bothered by the customers, which definitely doesn't make you want to go in. Another point of confusion: my partner and I come almost every weekend, to the point that we practically know our order by heart… and yet, we've never been offered a loyalty card. My partner finally asked for one himself recently, and was told that "they no longer have loyalty cards." No explanation was given. For regular customers, this leaves a really unpleasant impression, as if we were a nuisance. But the biggest problem is on Sundays, and it's become a deal-breaker. No matter what time you arrive, the display cases are almost empty. By 10 a.m., there are no pastries left, sometimes even before. It's incomprehensible for a Sunday morning, which is precisely when demand is highest. Many customers come for a leisurely breakfast, and there's simply no choice left. This is all the more surprising given that the shop is well-stocked during the week. In comparison, the other Gautherot bakery on the Strasbourg road is always well-stocked and much more pleasant in terms of service. It's a real shame, because we live just a few meters away and we'd like to keep coming back. But today, as regular customers, we mostly feel like we're bothering them rather than being welcome.

Expensive but delicious pastries, so if you want to treat yourself occasionally, it's a good place. The saleswomen are all friendly. I'm taking off one star: I ordered two walnut loaves for December 24th. If I come to your shop and pay the price, it's to get good, fresh bread. When I opened it, I realized it wasn't fresh that day. Frankly, I'm disappointed. Next year I'll buy it at Intermarché; at worst, it might be the same but half the price. If you can't fulfill orders with fresh bread, this needs to be specified when ordering.
