- Dishes arrived lukewarm or almost cold!, it's unpleasant! - Service too fast: the aperitif is not finished, the main course arrives! Plus, there's something better than peanuts! - Bread served in a bag, a napkin and a basket would be nicer! - Plate too small, ingredients too tight!!! For lunch on a Sunday, it's a shame! We come to the restaurant to take our time and taste the flavors! - Everyone crowded inside (rainy day), really too much noise!!! Too bad for all these reasons, my 3 is justified! Pleasant waiters, it must be emphasized! I expect much better from this type of restaurant!

It is rare these days to find restaurants with such quality service. A real added value to this essential place for its atmosphere and its cuisine. I hope the waitress will recognize herself, she greatly deserves praise for her professionalism.

This café, located by a lake, is the perfect place to relax. The atmosphere is warm, the staff welcoming, and the view of the water adds a touch of serenity. Whether for a moment with family, friends, or just to enjoy a coffee, it is a perfect little haven of peace.

Welcome by the very warm owner and his team as well. Free aperitif (thanks Jérôme) almost no wait for the service. Very tasty main course. Very kind and helpful waitresses. Magnificent setting. We had a pleasant time. Superb decor. I will come back with great pleasure

A very good time spent in this completely renovated restaurant. A really friendly welcome and service. We enjoyed the menu with dishes that were as beautiful as they were good. We will come back without any problem and I recommend.

Decent meal that was plentiful enough, however service not up to par: incompetent waitress (although friendly), lukewarm dry wine and the person behind the bar unfriendly. The table near the window on the lake side was refused to us because normally for 4 whereas 10 minutes later 2 people were able to sit down.

Chateau de La Borde

06/09/2024: The two of us stayed at the Château de la Borde for 2 nights in September 24 while traveling through. The welcome from Pierre's sister was very friendly and helpful. Our room was large, beautiful, very clean and quiet. The evening food offerings are unusual but very pleasant. You get (in the fridge) a prepared 3-course menu (20€), which is not selectable but is different and fresh every day. You just have to ask what is there. You then warm up the main course in the microwave, which is much tastier than you imagine because the dish in the porcelain dishes and the microwave are coordinated. Then you can enjoy the meal together with your own wine/water in the very tastefully furnished (eating) hall of the "castle" with fine crockery, cutlery and beautiful glasses, in peace and quiet, whenever you want. Café afterwards is free. On the first evening we didn't understand the concept and had to rely on the limited offerings in Ussel, which we later regretted. Kind regards and good luck to Pierre and his sister. (A few more hangers in the large closet would be helpful)
