We caught a nice piece of shade in a very hot day in Chamonix.. The beer was great, but the charcuterie/Cheese plate was disappointing

For the past three years that we've been coming to Chamonix, we've loved going to this place at the end of the day for an aperitif! We appreciate the setting, the atmosphere, and the staff. This year, we also tried the breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed it (see photo!).

The staff was extremely rude although we were a group of 10 on a very empty terrace. that's a shame because the Morrilles fondue was delicious.

Great! ☺️ The waiter was very friendly and attentive to his customers. We're used to David, who is always so cheerful and friendly. The food was very good and very generous. The whole team is very friendly. 😊 I recommend this place.

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant with its beautiful view, which made the experience truly enjoyable. The waiter was particularly friendly, sociable, and attentive throughout the meal. We ordered a fondue with charcuterie and cheeses, so it's a bit difficult to judge the entire menu, but the fondue was good and the amount of charcuterie was generous. The aperitif was also excellent. For dessert, we had crème brûlée: it was delicious, quite classic, and well-executed. Overall, a great place to enjoy a meal in a lovely setting with pleasant service.

Very well located in Chamonix, it's a nice place to have a drink. We had cocktails which were very good, but unfortunately not strong enough for my taste. We had a good time.

05/06/2026: Couldnt fault the hotel or staff absolute wonderful stay! Amazing views from the sauna too definitely reccomend.
27/05/2026: Restaurant review: Excellent service, friendly and professional waiters. The quality-price ratio is very good. I recommend choosing the set menu as it includes a starter, main course, dessert, water, and bread. P.S.: The French toast is delicious.

07/03/2026: A solid lower-cost, unpretentious option with all the amenities and basic things you would need to support a great ski trip in Chamonix. The bus stops steps from the hotel taking you to all the surrounding ski resorts and downtown chamonix for transfer to the airport or the bus to Italy, Valle Blanche, etc. The staff are great and make sure you have everything you need, and are willing to keep your ski bags, boots, gear, etc stored in the boot room downstairs while you wait for your next travel plans. There is WiFi that works well from the room and from the lounge downstairs if you need to hop on work calls and get work done. I had no connection issues. Les Praz is a good location (and closer) to the resorts up the valley such as Le Flegere, Grands Montets, and Le Tour. 20 minute walk to downtown Chamonix on a lovely river-side path.
