Brasserie le Comedia sur Lyon

A legendary place, but I was a little disappointed by the slow service and the noise.

A place steeped in history. Good food, nothing special. Average service. Worth a visit, a classic.

I visited this restaurant twice during my business trip to Lyon, France. It's a traditional French restaurant that has been frequented by many celebrities in the past. All the dishes are wonderful, but I especially recommend the beef tartare. It's a simple dish made with raw beef, but the seasoning is perfect, resulting in a deep and rich flavor. This beef tartare was the catalyst for me to eat beef tartare at least 30 times in various places during my stay in France. *Apparently, it can cause stomach upset for those with sensitive stomachs... Here, the staff mixes and sets the beef tartare for you. Their technique is impressive. Another characteristic of this restaurant is that all the staff possess excellent service skills. There was a line before opening, and it's no wonder that it was full by lunchtime after opening. If you go to Lyon, this is a restaurant you should definitely visit.

What can I say about the most traditional restaurant in Lyon, right? As always, the food was impeccable, the service was always very smooth, polite, and with perfect timing. We ordered an appetizer that was sensational, and the main courses were very, very good. I really like the birthday tradition, and that always makes me excited when I visit this restaurant.

My partner was very surprised; he loved the restaurant (I was already familiar with the concept). We ate very well and, most importantly, we were completely satisfied. There's a wide selection of appetizers and main courses on the menu. The pink praline tart and the rhubarb meringue tart were excellent. The service is quite fast, which is a big plus.

Remember to book in advance to avoid a 45-minute to 1-hour wait.

The place is great, it's huge but very efficient and welcoming. If you speak French, even better, but they'll find a way to communicate with you even if you don't. Highly recommended.

This is a typical Lyonnais spot. Steeped in history. They serve 50 tons of sauerkraut a year. It's one of the establishments in France that serves the most. It's very good. They don't need advertising; they're always full, and deservedly so. Go there for a birthday; they have a surprise in store for you. All the items on the menu are very good, and in winter, they have seafood.

I loved it! I'd been wanting to discover this restaurant steeped in history for so long. Impeccable service, beautiful dishes, and an atmosphere that could tell a thousand stories... as well preserved as possible. I loved spending that moment there!! Thank you
