A timeless place, succulent and unmissable dishes (a calf's head can be enjoyed even in the sweltering heat)... however, waiting two hours at the table for it... that's looooooooong...

Disappointed!! This Lyon institution has changed a lot and become a tourist trap!! As a true Lyonnais who ate here 20 years ago, etc… the quantity and prices are not up to par, despite the very pleasant service!! It's more like, "Move over so we can take your place. Wait outside!!" Disappointed, my brasserie has really changed.

What an institution Brasserie Georges is! 👌 The place is simply magnificent 🤩 and the sauerkraut is divine 😋 and the service is just perfect 👍 by the radiant Sophie and the very friendly Alban, both very professional, thank you to them. Lyon truly is the gastronomic city in all its splendor 🤤

We discovered this restaurant on August 15, 2026, as a family of four with two young children, and we had a wonderful time! I chose the homemade black pudding Parmentier, while my wife had the pan-seared rump steak, and the children had fries and sausages. Everything was delicious, with truly generous portions, even for the children, which was especially appreciated! The prices are very reasonable considering the quality and quantity. The service was impeccable despite the large number of customers that day. The staff is efficient, friendly, and attentive. A fantastic family discovery. We will definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant! 😊🍽️

Over several visits, the service has always been impeccable and the food perfect. The only slight drawback is the lack of air conditioning. In the middle of August, it gets really very hot in the dining room, which can make the meal a little less enjoyable.

Quite a Lyon institution - the huge dining hall was full on a Tuesday evening. The food was nice and decent value - we got the Saucisson and Tete de Veau, however not mind-blowing. Service was good. They crank out the music machine and a cake for everyone with a birthday so it’s a nice surprise.
