30/04/2026: Excellent experience at L'Alexandrin with my partner. It was our first time at this restaurant, and we left with a fantastic experience. I had the foie gras as a starter, and my partner had the scallops. For our main courses, we had the beef and poultry, and for dessert, the lemon and coconut passion fruit. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from beginning to end. The only slight criticism I could make was about the lemon; I found the pieces of lemon very acidic and the aftertaste quite lingered. But we were very surprised by the exceptional sweetness of the pear sorbet (I think it was pear). In short, I didn't like asparagus when I went in, and my partner didn't like scallops, but L'Alexandrin rose to the challenge and made us enjoy something we don't usually like. Hats off to them! Furthermore, the service was superb, and the wine recommendations were excellent! You can be sure we'll be back this year!

14/02/2026: What an incredible discovery! We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance… and wow! The welcome was exceptionally kind, warm, and genuine, making us feel instantly at home. And then there was the food… absolutely FABULOUS! 🤩 Refined, flavorful, creative, and perfectly executed dishes. Each bite is an explosion of taste, a true culinary journey. You can taste the passion and talent in every plate. Clearly a huge favorite, the very best! To be honest, I almost want to keep this wonderful place a secret… but it would be too unfair not to share it!

You can tell he loves what he does, and he takes the time to tell the story behind the dishes and the restaurant, which makes the experience even more friendly and warm. A truly great place where you feel right at home, and I highly recommend it! ☺️

21/04/2026: 30th anniversary celebration at Chenavard. The team is exceptional. Discussing the cost to get a quote is very easy, they offer great advice and truly top-notch service. Don't hesitate!

We enjoyed a delicious meal, with a selection of appetizers on a platter, flavorful main courses, and a special mention for the excellent floating island dessert. The waiter was also very helpful throughout the meal. Highly recommended!

11/05/2026: Excellent! The fish is very well chosen and very flavorful. Not knowing which sushi will be offered when ordering allows you to try those you wouldn't have otherwise ordered, and to be pleasantly surprised. The price may seem high at first glance, but given the quality of the service and the food, it is justified.

10/05/2026: €112 for 20 pieces of sushi! Way too much! I have to say, we had high hopes for this place, and the atmosphere is really nice. However, the quality of the sushi (good, but not the best I've ever tasted) doesn't justify the price. Furthermore, they don't have an à la carte menu, forcing customers to choose a tasting menu with several courses, including dessert, which we probably wouldn't have wanted. The only really positive note: the tea, which was delicious. However, I can't recommend this place!

16/05/2026: The food was nothing special. It's convenient because it's open late for dinner in Lyon. The tea selection needs improvement; it's a bit disappointing, like something you'd find at Lidl. A shame. I gave it 4 stars just to avoid giving it less. 😊
