Brasserie Le Gambetta sur Nice

3/5 service: Staff is welcoming however they don’t even have English menu. 3/5 atmosphere. Cozy place but cleanliness could still be improved. 4/5 for food. Oh yes they have No2 Gillardeau oysters. Main courses is good. However the size of those mussels are ridiculously small. 5/5 for value of money.

Wanted oysters for lunch and Le Gambetta has a good selection & competitively priced. Wife had the plat de jour (4 oysters, 3 shrimp & 3 sea snails) & I had the selection of 3, 3 & 2 (total of 8). different oysters. All were fresh & excellent. Wife's meal came with café gourmand & I had the lemon cheesecake. All were truly excellent. Not sure where they source their mayonaise, but was as good as we've had. We ate all they gave us on our frites. Very much looking forward to our next visit.

It was good a while ago, now you say anything to the waiter, he tells you that you are disrespectful, when you say that you have been waiting for more than 10 minutes and he serves you two hazelnuts and no coffee. The service is better when it is from other people who are nicer and who have been there for a long time. I regret that we serve 10 people at the same time, the coffee arrives cold and with an error. Dared to tell me that I could leave, where are they going? We regularly come to dine at your place and we just need to review the conditions of service, make the customer wait??? There are other establishments that can collect customers and will be happy if I leave a nice bill at 4. Disappointed and I think it's a shame.... To see if the service will improve in the coming days. Unfortunately we took a platter ordered for Christmas Eve and we were extremely ill, I learned on the news that oysters were banned from sale due to a virus. I also had information from another customer who had stayed with you and was also extremely ill, this caused us to experience a slow week plus a meager New Year's Eve given our condition. Horrible waitress not smiling and looks down on us, besides I don't understand why the boss doesn't ask us how it's going when he's stopping by to see tourists who will only come once while we come regularly. You know clothes don't make a monk??? The swordfish is lost so small lol.... I have the impression that it is frozen and not fresh. Thank you very much for taking care of your customers.

Well placed you can eat seafood but be careful of your wallet!

Good atmosphere, friendly servers

Always a lot of pleasure coming for lunch or dinner in this brasserie. Everything is good, the seafood, everything, even the dessert. Congratulations today for the pistachio tiramisu.
