Brasserie le Globe sur Lacaune

Typical brasserie fare. Excellent service despite our late arrival without a reservation.

We hadn't booked, they found us a table, ate very well and despite the rush, all the staff were smiling.

A warm welcome and, above all, a superb location

I've read the previous reviews, some of which were very negative... Frankly, a €17.90 set menu (starter/main/dessert) was perfectly acceptable and even quite tasty, with a small plate of excellent local charcuterie for me, a duo of breaded black pudding for my sons as a starter, chicken fillet with wild garlic and half a duck breast... ice cream or floating island for dessert... We ate very well! And the service was impeccable. The waitresses and owner were extremely friendly, attentive, and always smiling. In short, I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Warm welcome, excellent menu (quality, quantity, price), very good service

We arrived just as the kitchen was closing, slightly misled by Google which advertised the establishment as open until 2 a.m.… which obviously doesn't mean the ovens are still running until then. Despite the late hour, the staff still greeted us with a smile and served us a meal. Used to the Paris region, where "closed kitchen" generally means "move along, there's nothing to eat," we genuinely appreciated the gesture. The homemade burgers were very good. The only slight drawback: the fries were a little overcooked, but given that the kitchen was practically closed, we weren't about to launch an investigation. Thank you to the entire team for the warm welcome, kindness, and service despite our late arrival.
