Brasserie Le Jean Lamour sur Nancy

A lovely brasserie on the square, and dining on the terrace is an even greater pleasure—it's magical. The atmosphere and efficiency were wonderful. The service was top-notch; thank you so much, Mustafa, for your cheerfulness and efficiency. The prices are rather high, but the quality is definitely there. The quiche Lorraine and the lemon meringue tart are truly reliable choices.

A truly beautiful brasserie housed in absolutely stunning historic buildings, where, when the weather is fine, you can enjoy a drink on the terrace with a magnificent view of Place Stanislas, a jewel listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The staff are friendly and efficient; I highly recommend it.

A lovely discovery on Place Stanislas during our visit to Nancy. Sunny outdoor terrace and a beautiful interior with tasteful decor. Quick service, a warm welcome, and a wide selection. We tried the Segafredo coffee (espresso and double espresso) and a pain au chocolat.

Great location, the cocktails are good. The service is rather slow, but the servers are very friendly.

We had a wonderful time at the Jean bar-restaurant, ideally located on Place Stanislas in Nancy. The setting is truly pleasant: you can fully enjoy the square and its lively atmosphere without it being too noisy. The waitress is particularly friendly and smiling, which makes the service even more enjoyable. The ice cream is delicious. The prices are reasonable considering the location. A simple, welcoming, and efficient place to enjoy a relaxing moment in the heart of Nancy.

I was disappointed by the establishment's policy of charging extra for a spilled drink. I understand that there are rules, but for a simple, unintentional incident, a little more understanding would have been appreciated. On the other hand, I want to thank the waiter (Vincent) who was there that evening for his kindness, calm demeanor, and professionalism despite the situation. His attitude was definitely more pleasant than the overall experience I had with the establishment.

We were passing through Nancy earlier this week, taking a short break during the school holidays. We're originally from Lyon and were there to see family and enjoy the city at a relaxed pace. I'm writing this now that I've returned from my trip with a clear head. On Monday, we decided to settle into this bar around 3 pm, mainly to enjoy the view of Place Stanislas. The sun was shining, the setting was fantastic, and it really made you want to relax and have a good time. There was space, a few customers, but nothing too crowded, although it seemed a bit slow. A waitress arrived, tall, with dark hair, dressed in white with pigtails. I don't know her name. She came to take our order directly without cleaning the table or clearing the one next to it… well, that wasn't a great start. She was smiling but with a slightly haughty air about her, giving the impression that she was intruding. She brought us the drinks, gave my son Enzo his waffle, and then she just put her tray on the table to serve… I have to admit, I was stunned. Working in the restaurant industry myself, it's the kind of thing that just doesn't happen, or at least not like that. A little later, around 3:45 or 4:00 PM, another waitress arrived and took over the terrace properly. Léa, I think, and she was a completely different person. Professional, pleasant, efficient, and smiling, she really took over the service properly. Honestly, thank you to her because it makes all the difference, and even my father commented on it. And then, around 5:00 or 5:30 PM, I think, we could see another waitress (I don't remember her name) who was constantly being followed by a little girl between the dining room and the terrace. Honestly, I don't really know what to make of it… maybe she was a trainee, but she looked really, really young, so it was quite strange to see her during service. Overall, a rather mixed experience. The setting is fantastic, especially with the view and the sunshine, but the service is clearly inconsistent depending on who you get. The prices are a bit high, however, the setting makes up for it. The drinks and pastries are also very good, so I still recommend it 👍🏼

This restaurant is ideally located on the beautiful Place Stanislas, where we had a wonderful meal during our visit to Nancy. The setting is very pleasant. Our waitress was fantastic, very helpful and very kind.
