We had a great time at L'Effet Bœuf. Despite the slightly late service, we enjoyed our meal and had a good time. A good place for lunch in Chambéry.

We had a good time and our meals met our expectations. The waitress was pleasant. One small drawback: upon arrival, a manager (the owner?) curtly reprimanded our seat attendant because some customers who weren't eating weren't seated at the correct table and didn't respond to our greeting.

Quick service at lunchtime, very friendly and professional staff, a well-rounded menu with plenty of choice, we ate very well 👍 the food is consistently good, which is a plus. A lovely terrace or an air-conditioned room for hot summer days. Beautifully presented dishes, a feast for the eyes. We'll be back 😉

We stumbled upon this by chance and will definitely be back. The set menu (starter and main course) was €18. It was good and plentiful. Nice decor. The waitress was efficient but not pushy.

I didn't enjoy it. While the quantity was there, the quality was lacking; it was very basic. Otherwise, the waitstaff were friendly, smiling, and efficient.

15/02/2026: My husband and I came for our second Valentine's Day. It was a truly delightful experience, filled with sweetness, flavor, and generosity. As we were leaving, the manager told us we were the last customers before the restaurant closed. This touched us deeply and I think it will stay with us for a very long time. Thank you to this restaurant for making this dinner such a wonderful memory. 🙌 And a special mention to the owners: you managed to convey your generosity and love through the food and the memories we will cherish. 🩷
04/02/2026: Flexible regarding arrival time (we informed them of our delay and the manager didn't hold it against us). Charming, rather intimate setting. Quick and efficient service. Good food but relatively expensive. Value for money 3/5. Friendly welcome. Clean restrooms. Extensive wine list. We had a pleasant time.
